Eligible proposals must focus on a "core city service," which is a service that is citywide and resident-facing that falls under municipal authority.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International medical researchers for research projects in the field of arthroscopy. Funding may be used for basic scientific or clinical research projects or projects that address medical conditions that are suitable for arthroscopic treatment.

Applicants are required to submit an action plan for activities and programs to recruit students and train them for work in the field of semiconductor fabrication construction and advanced manufacturing that align with the CHIPS and Science Act. Action plans should also include placement strategies and support for teachers in building out CTE programs.

Grants of $1,200 to USA, Canada, and International individuals for research related to amphibians and reptiles. Preference will be given to undergraduate and graduate students and early-career faculty. Funding may be used for the purchase of lab and field equipment and travel associated with field research.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International graduate students to participate in sustainability and clean energy projects. The purpose of the program is to help fellows make a positive impact on climate and smart energy solutions. Fellowships will take place over the course of 10-12 weeks.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International artists to attend a workshop at a craft school in Maine. The opportunity is open to artists from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds working in the field of ceramics. The workshop will take place during the summer of 2025 at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine.

Fellowships of $10,000 to USA Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaskan Native, and Canada Indigenous early-career episodic creators and filmmakers for professional skills development. The year-long fellowship will help filmmakers and creators sharpen storytelling and technical skills in a hands-on environment, including feedback sessions with advisors and roundtable discussions. The program will combine virtual sessions and in-person sessions in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Grant of up to $15,000 to a USA individual for a project related to structural design and historic preservation. Preference will be given to proposals that benefit underrepresented communities. Eligible applicants include architects, engineers, and other design professionals. Proposals should explore the preservation, restoration, or adaptive reuse of the built environment.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International Global Medical Education Providers to provide continuing education to medical oncologists, urologists, and other oncology team members regarding a specific type of cancer. Preference will be given to initiatives with multiple funding sources in addition to Astellas/Pfizer. All activities must address knowledge gaps around Urothelial Carcinoma (UC).

Grants to USA state agencies and Tribes to protect water resources and water quality. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several months to finalize. Funding is intended to cover costs associated with establishing rental programs for portable skidder bridges, bridge mats, or other temporary water crossing structures, to minimize stream bed disturbance on non-Federal land and Federal land. Applications that can show a clear benefit to underserved/historically marginalized people, the communities where they reside, or the forest areas that they value are encouraged.

Funding is intended for independent research studies in hemophilia that investigate strategies to evaluate hemostatic potential of anti-TFPI therapies.

In-kind support to USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe nonprofit organizations to build their brands. The program will provide web design and digital assistance to nonprofits to create an impact and reach target audiences. Eligible services include but are not limited to website design, logo design, annual reports, and billboards.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for social change initiatives that benefit Jewish women and girls. Funding is intended to support general operations as well as specific projects. Eligible focus areas include, but are not limited to economic empowerment, leadership development, gender-based violence prevention, reproductive justice, social justice and legal advocacy, mental health and the superwoman complex, and mentoring. Projects/organizations should either be taking place in the Metro Atlanta area or be national in scope.

Awards to USA undergraduate students at accredited four-year IHEs for excellence in essay writing on the theme of ethics. Applicants may submit an essay on a wide range of topics, as long as it explores a relevant ethical problem, question, or issue. Evaluations will be made on the basis of the quality of the writing, clarity of the ethical issue, and depth of the essay’s ethical analysis.

Opportunity for USA adults and middle and high school students to participate in a competition to recognize contributions to the community. The winning individual and student will receive funds to support their continued efforts to improve the lives of others. Eligible nominees are either adults or current middle school or high school students.

Applicants must be faculty or staff at 1994 Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), must be 1890 and 1862 staff, or must work at Bureau of Indian Education designated high schools.

Grants to USA and Armenia nonprofit organizations, foundations, and charities for projects to benefit Armenian communities. Applicants must complete an eligibility quiz prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended for a wide range of activities that focus on building a stronger workforce in Armenia.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA individuals who have previously experienced homelessness, to support their creative and/or professional endeavors. Funding can be used for training, seed funding, capacity building, expenses involved with creating works of art in all media, and more.

Funding is intended to help applicants purchase land through fee-simple methods or to purchase an interest in the land through a preservation covenant.

Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. The program is intended to assist communities with water or wastewater systems through technical assistance and training provided by grant recipients to rural water and wastewater organizations.

Grants of up to $20,000 to Wyoming rural fire departments to improve fire suppression and prevention capacity. Funding is intended to support training, equipment purchases, and prevention activities, and to assist with the organizing of services for rural communities with populations of less than 10,000. Distribution of available VFA funds should be given out with an emphasis on the neediest applicants.

The exact breakdown of activities funded by the fellowship will be mutually agreed upon by the professor and the academic sponsor. The post-doctoral training will take place at the Hebrew University and candidates must be sponsored by a faculty member.

Grants of up to $2,500 and in-kind resources to USA, Canada, Latin America, and Caribbean organizations for community and youth events related to the study of birds. This grant includes free training and materials in addition to funding. Activities should center Equity, Diversity, Justice, and Inclusion in birdwatching and ornithology. Celebrate Urban Birds will prioritize community-led applications from underserved communities that share their local knowledge and expertise and emphasize culture and the arts.

Grants of up to $5,000, grants of up to $15,000, and grants of up to $25,000 to Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming nonprofit organizations for programs to benefit rural communities in the funding source's service area. Funding is intended to support projects and services in the areas of agricultural education, hunger and nutrition, young and beginning producers, and rural disaster relief and essential services. Qualifying programs must benefit communities within the Farm Credit Services of America service area.

Scholarships of $500 to USA students who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for financial assistance to attend college. Applications are invited from recent high school graduates, current undergraduate students, and students enrolled at an Autism School. To qualify, the applicant must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited school.

Priority is given to programs that benefit residents of Connecticut, as well as worldwide. Nominations are accepted for educators and employees in public, charter, and private schools. The purpose of the program is to honor teachers and staff who exemplify excellence, positive influence, and leadership.

Award of $1,000 to a USA, Canada, or International individual affiliated with a nonprofit charitable, educational, or scientific institution, or governmental entity in recognition of an exceptional dissertation. Funding is intended for individuals with promising research projects focusing on small groups.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA community leaders, elected officials, and tribal leaders for capital projects to revitalize public community spaces in rural areas. The purpose of the program is to create and restore communal spaces that foster personal connections. Projects must benefit small towns with a population less than 50,000.

Grants of $500 to USA BIPOC women with a current or previous breast cancer diagnosis for medical and financial assistance. Funds may be used for essential self-care, alternative care, living expenses, medical treatment, and investment in the applicant's own small business.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, IHEs, and faith-based organizations for activities that respond to community needs. Applicants must complete required registrations prior to applying. Funding is intended to support programs designed to address the unique needs of the communities where the funding source operates.

Grants and loans to USA nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, and Tribes to promote the growth and development of small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs in rural areas. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. The purpose of this program is to support the development and ongoing success of rural microentrepreneurs and microenterprises.

Grants of $1,500 and supplies to USA snowboarders to promote amateur snowboarding in remote areas. Funding is intended to support splitboard expeditions of multiple days that may focus on a tour of a region or a single summit or descent. Two separate grants are available: the Jones Backcountry Adventure Grant and the Jones Live Like Liz Award, the latter of which is open only to female applicants. Project location must be in North America.

Eligible organizations align with one of the following areas of interest: education, welfare, health, and aid to children. Grants may be requested for any purpose related to providing benefits for children but preference will be given to those funding children’s programming.

Residencies to USA individual artists and collaborative teams of any discipline. The purpose is to give artists the opportunity to create new works and learn from and collaborate with other artists. The residencies will take place in a beautiful remote location in Minnesota.

Grants of up to $1,000 to USA nonprofit organizations and K-12 educators for initiatives to promote internet safety. Funding is intended for the purchase of materials and supplies for use when conducting classroom sessions, assemblies, after-school activities, and community events. The goal of the program is to encourage teachers and organizations to participate in Safer Internet Day, an annual global celebration where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

In-kind support to USA nonprofit organizations to streamline their data management. Awardees will receive access to specific technology that will improve their fundraising capacity. Training on how to use this technology will also be provided. The goal is to assist eligible nonprofit organizations by providing them with a technological upgrade from their current spreadsheet-based donor management system to DonorDock's software, thus enhancing their fundraising and donor management capabilities.

Grants of $600 to USA Tribe members to mitigate financial loss incurred during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Funding is intended to support meatpacking and agricultural workers. The relevant period of employment is January 27, 2020 through May 11, 2023. Priority will be given to members of federally recognized tribes across the US, with secondary priority granted to all eligible workers within the Cherokee Nation Reservation in NE Oklahoma.

Funding is intended to improve the health and development of children through making sports pitches more accessible, safer, and extending the number of hours that children and adults can use these recreational facilities.

Grants of up to $25,000 and in-kind support to USA Native Indigenous youth filmmakers for the production of short films. Funding is intended to cover the production costs of short story films on the topics of health and wellness, science, education, art, climate and environment, culture, history, language, and empowerment. Finished videos are expected to be shared in a community engagement activity that is determined by the partner organization.

Funding is intended to support children's health and wellness in an effort to improve their chances at a brighter future. Previous grants have funded heart surgeries and eye care and provided sustainable futures for families in Africa.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA swimming teams to help with recovery from a disaster. Funding is intended to provide relief from losses experienced by the team due to an instance of destruction or devastation, such as a wildfire or hurricane. Priority consideration will be given to requests that demonstrate the most significant need. Requests for swim team dues relief shall only be for swimmers and/or families who have been severely impacted by a disaster.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA individuals and small teams to carry out humanitarian projects that have an aspect of mountaineering. Funding is intended for projects to benefit local communities in places with a connection to the mountaineering community, whether domestically or internationally.

Residencies to USA artist educators to focus on their work in a restful environment. This program is open to artists currently teaching at a K-12 level or in a higher education entity, and those who identify as freelance teaching artists. Artists will balance personal work time with opportunities to interact and share their work and process with other professionals. The residency is designed to be an opportunity to support each artist’s goals, needs, and interests.

Residencies to USA emerging artists or collaborative teams for rejuvenation and professional growth. This 10-day residency is open to artists working in all disciplines, including visual, performing, and literary arts. The program provides ample time to share work in progress, enjoy recreation, and connect with other professionals.

Contract for services to a USA, Canada, or International artist or artist team to create a piece of artwork to commemorate the Holocaust. The artistic piece will incorporate a vast collection of buttons to honor the memory of the war's murdered children, to be displayed at a designated site in Massachusetts. Funds may be used to cover the costs of materials, labor, and installation. The purpose of the project is to commemorate these children and raise awareness about the atrocities of the Holocaust, fostering reflection and education among the community.

Grant of $5,000 to a USA small business for business expansion efforts. Funding is intended to support a business that seeks to adapt, improve, and grow their company. Grant funds may be used for a wide range of activities, including new equipment purchases, a product launch, and physical improvements.

In-kind educational programs to USA, Canada, and International schools, school districts, and LEAs to promote STEAM education. The program focuses on three areas of interest: professional development for staff, invention workshops, and space design. The purpose of the program is to financially support schools, districts, and other local educational agencies who desire to leverage Inventionland® Education’s award-winning Innovation Labs®, professional development programs, and K-12 Innovation curriculum.

Grants to USA nonprofit and faith-based organizations, public and private schools, government agencies, and eligible groups for community benefit projects. Funding is intended for initiatives in the focus areas of education, health care, crisis management, and veterans’ support. Eligible projects and activities are those that impact the general community and are not focused on a single group.

Grants of up to $1,000 to USA students ages 18 and under for service projects to benefit their local community. Funding may be used to support a variety of creative projects, such as improving school playgrounds, developing community gardens, and helping senior residents prepare their homes for the winter season. Previous grants have been awarded for projects such as school clubs, nature activities, agricultural literacy, and animal shelters.

Grants of up to $1,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations and universities for conservation programs that protect worldwide wildlife and habitats. Priority will go to projects that demonstrate a multi-disciplinary approach to biodiversity and ecosystem conservation. Projects that involve in-country collaborators or align with RWPZoo’s conservation portfolio receive the highest funding priority.

Award to a USA teacher in a two-year college to recognize contributions to the profession. Nominations are welcomed for individuals who have contributed positively to professional leadership and have shown excellence in teaching. Eligible nominees demonstrate such outstanding personal qualities as creativity, sensitivity, and leadership.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for community projects in the areas of education, healthcare, the arts, humanitarian services, environmental initiatives, and technology and research. Funding is intended for project that will meaningfully contribute to communities.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International artists to participate in a New York-based residency program within their artistic discipline. Residencies are available in the following disciplines: music, architecture, writing, art, and dance. The residency will take place in Columbia County, New York.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International individuals from a range of professional backgrounds to study the ethics of their profession in relation to the Holocaust. Eligible participants are involved in the following careers: business, law, design and technology, medicine, journalism, and religious leadership. Grants of up to $20,000 to USA Native American youth and young adults partnering with nonprofit organizations, schools, or tribal organizations for projects that promote positive change in their communities. Funding is intended to recognize Native youth, ages 18-30, who are making a difference in their communities and who are healing centuries of injustice.

Grant to a USA nonprofit organization for a project to protect and manage water sources. Funding is intended to address groundwater and watershed supplies to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change. Eligible projects could include management through reducing the impact of extreme weather events; innovative approaches to responsible land and water management; or remediation of impacted watersheds.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International scholars to pursue humanities-related projects at an institute in Illinois. Funding is intended to facilitate research and the use of the Foundation's resources for a limited period of time. Several categories of fellowships are available. Applications that propose productive use of the Newberry’s collections are more likely to receive fellowship awards. The fellowships will take place at the Newberry in Chicago.

Grants of up to $6,000 to USA nonprofit organizations to support the provision of literacy services for students. Funding is intended for general operations, including but not limited to equipment, supplies, salaries, space rental, technology, teacher stipends, and more. Proposals may also focus on a particular project or new programming effort.

Fellowships of $5,000 to USA high school teachers to pursue writing projects. Applications are welcome from current teachers of grades 9-12 who consider themselves creative writers. Funding is intended to support the writing of new works in progress. The goal of the program is to allow fellows to focus on their writing over summer break.
