- Paws Place Rescue Inc. provides comprehensive animal welfare programs that address the immediate and long-term needs of animals and the communities we serve.
Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation: We rescue abandoned, neglected, abused, injured, and at-risk animals, providing medical care, rehabilitation, behavioral assessment, and placement into loving homes whenever possible.
Adoption & Sanctuary: Healthy, adoptable animals are matched with carefully screened families, while senior, special-needs, or non-adoptable animals receive lifelong sanctuary care.
Caregiver Program: Our unique Caregiver Program allows pets to remain safely with their owners or finders while we provide adoption marketing, screening, contracts, and placement assistance, reducing shelter overcrowding and owner surrenders.
Community Pet Support: We operate a Pet Food Pantry, provide microchipping events, assist with access to affordable veterinary care, and offer spay/neuter resources to help families keep their pets healthy and in their homes.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR): We support humane management of community cat populations through TNR, helping reduce overpopulation while improving the health of feral cat colonies.
Education & Training: We offer responsible pet ownership education, free and low-cost obedience training, and community outreach to promote animal welfare and reduce pet abandonment.
Advocacy & Community Partnerships: We work alongside veterinarians, law enforcement, municipalities, rescue organizations, and community partners to improve animal welfare, expand access to services, and strengthen local resources through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
Emergency & Specialized Assistance: When resources permit, we assist with emergency animal cases, transport coordination, and support for underserved rural communities that have limited access to animal shelters and animal control services.

- Current projects
- Paws Place Rescue Inc. is currently completing an Indoor Rescue & Quarantine Shelter that will significantly expand our capacity to save animals in underserved rural communities. The facility will provide safe, climate-controlled housing for rescued animals, medical isolation for sick or injured animals, quarantine space for new intakes, and improved care for senior and special-needs animals. Once completed, the shelter will allow us to increase lifesaving capacity, reduce disease transmission, improve animal welfare outcomes, and expand community services such as emergency rescue, adoptions, and veterinary partnerships.

Impact & Recognition
- Success stories
- Since its founding, Paws Place Rescue Inc. has helped hundreds of animals find safety, medical care, and permanent homes while expanding access to animal welfare resources in underserved rural communities.
Our rescue has successfully placed more than 200 animals into loving homes, reunited lost pets with their families, and provided sanctuary for senior and special-needs animals that would otherwise have nowhere to go.
Beyond rescue, we have launched community programs that help prevent pet homelessness, including low-cost microchipping, pet food assistance, responsible pet ownership education, and spay/neuter initiatives. We have also built partnerships with veterinarians, municipalities, law enforcement, and other nonprofit organizations to increase access to lifesaving services where animal welfare resources are limited.
Through our advocacy efforts, we have helped raise awareness of critical animal welfare issues, encouraged greater community involvement, and worked collaboratively to improve resources for both animals and the people who care for them. Every rescue, adoption, and community partnership moves us closer to our mission of creating safer, more compassionate communities for animals and their families. - Major funders
